Born in Hampstead, London in 1956, John now lives and works in the West Midlands.

John has been drawing and painting for pleasure all his life. Although largely self-taught. John drew inspiration and encouragement from his Dad and Grandpa, both accomplished artists in their own right.

With a genuine love for the natural world, rural and coastal subjects are evident in many of his works.
